RESEARCH INTERESTS
I am generally interested in the fields of paleontology, paleoecology and evolutionary biology. My current research focuses on the late-middle Eocene Gosport Sand, US Gulf Coastal Plain. The Gosport is an unusually dense fossil accumulation where the individuals are unusually large in comparison to typical coastal plain mollusks. Using the molluscan shell, I am applying the use of stable oxygen isotopes and micro-growth bands (sclerochronology) to investigate the growth trajectories, age-size relationships, and the onset of sexual maturity.

For years and presently, I play organized baseball and soccer along with every other outdoor activity, especially mountain biking. I am your typical outdoor geologist always on the lookout for a good field trip.
